The Books
One Potato Review
Of a feckless, good-hearted sheriff who needs more rescuing than he is actually prepared to dispense. The joys in this book are the aphorisms (“That little orphan is just as cute as a speckled pup under a wagon”), the sheriff’s muddled yearning for companionship (“a couple of rockin’ chairs by the fire”), and the twangy Texan accent you might just pick up by the end. With toasty desert landscapes by G. Brian Karas, and modestly expressive characters reminiscent of the great Charles Schulz.
