The Books
One Potato Review
“O my Best Beloved!” A little florid, yes, but there’s nothing here an average four-year-old cannot understand, or at least attach some meaning to. Word for precious word, here are eight of Kipling’s original stories, and only The Crab That Played With the Sea is seriously missed from the remainder. Most of the illustrations – by eight different artists – succeed in politely stepping aside where they should. No pandering, or editor, required.
