Where Teddy Bears Come From

by Mark Burgess
Illustrated by Russel Ayto

One Potato Review

Nice to see the wolf occasionally redeemed. Here a little gray insomniac goes looking for answers in a forest full of fairy tale characters before finally running into the biggest fairy tale character of them all – well, depending on your perspective. We’ve seen this sort of deconstruction around, but this story remains light on its narrative feet, and Ayto’s triangular illustrations supply the spark of something new.
