The Books

When I Wished I Was Alone

by Dave Cutler

One Potato Review

A suitably dark and spectacularly imagined treatment of what it means to kind of hate your family for a while, then find your way back. With simple text and otherworldly scenery – a grassy chunk of island floating in the sky, and that moodiest and most melodramatic of planets, Saturn – this book delivers memorably where too many books for this age, and this subject, remain earthbound. Ambitious and dreamy and true.
