The Falling Raindrop

by Neil Johnson
Illustrated by Joel Chin

One Potato Review

It’s hard to imagine any more minimalist illustrations than these, still all of that white space only heightens the tiny emotions of this hurtling raindrop – from the euphoria of flying to the horrors of not having any choice. Yet what goes down must come up again, at least in the annals of moisture, and this is finally a lively, suspenseful and even poetic alternative to the same old monotonous unit.
