One Potato Review
Conspicuous courage: Sheila Rae even goes to the trouble of imagining that cherries in her fruit cocktail are the eyes of a dead bear so she can brag about eating them. As usual with Henkes, there’s a lot of harmless mayhem like that – and also a welcome guest appearance from the star of Weekend with Wendell who ends up helplessly tied to a fence post with the jump rope he stole during recess. (Sheila Rae literally pats herself on the back for that one.) Of course all of this fearlessness is doomed to end badly, or anyway require the services of a quintessential worrywart who is in the habit of tracing and recounting her steps. Instructive, yes, but hardly a call for reform.
