One Potato Review

Two friends so close they even call to each other across the playground in a secret language wind up getting separated by one family’s move and thousands of miles. The best thing about this book is they don’t finally arrive at replacing each other with subsequent meet-cutes. The second best thing is the watercolor illustrations, by turns sweeping and intimate. The third best thing is they must furnish their own consolations in the end, and social media isn’t one of them.
