The Books

Dusk

One Potato Review

“As nature’s lights go out, the city’s lights come on.” For the shortest day of the year, an amber lining. Here’s holiday cheer, no matter your religious persuasion, a woman with a hat, a man with a cravat, and a visitor from the planet Zataplat, all of whom declaim in variously challenging doggerel; here are cinemas, toy displays and – wouldn’t you know it – even a store selling books. Timeless or nostalgic, depending on your perspective, still either way a little irresistible.
