The Way to the Zoo

by John Burningham

One Potato Review

Minor key Burningham, though forever worthwhile, as this author and illustrator (Cloudland, The Magic Bed) has been visiting dreams for so long, and so fluently, he is practically a citizen. Here, what is a carefully regulated arrangement between sleeping and waking, bedroom and basement, animals and child, becomes a full-fledged jailbreak when Sylvie forgets to close the door.
