Monsters are regularly victims of stereotyping, but they are lucky to have someone as gifted as Harper rise to their defense. There isn’t a lazy page here: detailed, anecdotal, strikingly illustrated, and just not-scary enough for children as young as two; they may be ten before they’ve grown tired of these monsters’ hilariously imagined idiosyncrasies.
