One Potato Review
Bunch of slackers. A ball-playing dog, a jazzy cool cat, and a ducky in a swim cap prove the perfect feckless foils for a character who is always in some danger of appearing a little too industrious. This little hen likes smiling anchovies on her pizza, and pepperoni, and a bunch of other salty stuff that gets collaged into this story by Amy Walrod, who’s sort of an expert at this type of thing (see Horace and Morris but Mostly Dolores). Her humor and Sturges’s light touch are the attractions here – plus that little red hen’s such a sport. No huffing or righteousness, and when those slackers finally do come around to some responsibility, you get the feeling they’re actually enjoying it.
