One Potato Review

This author’s fascination with magical objects (Amazing Bones, Rusty Nails) continues with this shiny percent pebble that grants its holder’s wishes. The result is arguably Steig’s biggest pickle of all, and even a little haunting: how far would your mind have to drift if you were suddenly turned into a rock in a grassy meadow waiting season after to be discovered? Pretty far. But don’t worry: there’s a happy reunion in the end, a second-hand message, and maybe even a sprinkle of ESP.
