The Books
One Potato Review
Inspired and inspiring: on its surface this biography of a surely obsessive misfit determined to capture a snowflake on film hardly seems a fitting subject for children’s picture books – but think again. There’s passion here, and sacrifice, and art, and wintry New England landscapes illustrated by the great and unmistakable Mary Azarian, yet finally this is a story about nature’s relentless improvisation, and the hope that we should ever understand it.
