You’ve got to hand it to Andreae and Ayto for summoning the nerve – or maybe just following a boy’s run-amuck imagination to it’s logical end. Pirates and dinosaurs – wow. This is like one of those deep-fried Oreos: forbidding, a little gross, and it’s surprising when you ever want to come back for more.
