One Potato Review
Twenty years after it was published still the brightest in a pretty pale field. Too often books about the first day of school settle for coaching. This title may be bland, but there’s a lot to look at here - not least the panoramic landscapes. Birds feature beautifully, and there isn’t a cynical hook in the plot. Calm and thoughtful, without presuming on our fears. For many ages.
