The Orange Book

by Richard McGuire

One Potato Review

Okay, it’s for counting, still this book makes it all the way to fourteen, just one of the curiosities here, all of them welcome, and simply, dramatically rendered in only three colors. Same tree, different fates: this orange makes it to vaudeville, this to a juicer, that to TV. After lemons and apples and lima beans even, finally this amazing, often underrated, actor takes its turn at the center of a story whose creator has the sense to use all of its talents – not least it’s so easily shared.
