Amazon Description
"Unless someone like you...cares a whole awful lot...nothing is going to get better...It's not."Long before saving the earth became a global concern, Dr. Seuss, speaking through his character the Lorax, warned against mindless progress and the danger it posed to the earth's natural beauty.
"The big, colorful pictures and the fun images, word plays and rhymes make this an amusing exposition of the ecology crisis."—School Library Journal.
One Potato Review
Deeply felt and deeply affecting, but the genius is everything that happens in between. No mere environmental fable this: from small family business to ruinous industrialization to the passing of legacies from one generation to the next, here is something like the Great American Picture Book, complete with epic regret - and clairvoyance. Apparently there is a movie somewhere in the works. Memo to Hollywood: Don’t screw it up.
