The Lima Bean Monster

by Dan Yaccarino

One Potato Review

Nightmare of vegetables past. Things get out of hand pretty quickly here: the sheer gruesomeness of this chunky green blob with half-eaten carrots sticking out of it, and discarded itchy sweaters (and look, isn’t that an accordion there?) is practically begging for a Hollywood treatment, as long as someone can figure out an ennobling lesson to tack on. There’s none of that here – the final devouring is strictly a matter of survival. Eat or be eaten. Anarchic and proud.
