Amazon Description
After borrowing a canoe from a large elephant, Mr. Lunch, the professional canine bird chaser, sets off on an exciting adventure into a strange city in which all the roads are canals, all the cars are boats, and all the pigeons have settled in one place. One Potato Review
A trip to Venice, where Mr. Lunch, famous bird-chasing professional, sees many kinds of boats, each lovingly illustrated: gondolas of course, but also taxi boats and soda pop boats and something described as the Rust Bucket. There are plenty of indelible characters here too, like a bear taking pictures (and chasing Mr. Lunch around the world), a well-dressed elephant (and bird-seed company president), then finally there is a daring plan to clear the Piazza San Marco of pigeons. Altogether a book you can be young with, and grow up with, and hardly recognize a difference between the two.
