Amazon Description

Dougal was a shy little bear with a heart of gold. He never got to play with the other toys in the house because they were all new and clean and perfect and he was not. He often wished he could be new like them...

Then one rainy afternoon, Dougal is left outside and ends up in the garbage bin. How much can a teddy bear? But even though he's down, Dougal is not out. He finds a new life and learns that sometimes bad luck can be your best friend.

One Potato Review

Told in crummy, sometimes coffee-stained snapshots, with more than enough heart and modest humor to compensate for its appearance. There’s a spoiled little girl with too many stuffed toys at the beginning, and a bloomin’ big boss man toward the end, but it’s the completely believable companionship between Dougal, his fellow discards, and the guys who run the dump, that makes for a little piece of paradise in even the unlikeliest of places. Featuring a shaggy thing with one eye who turns out to be a really good surfer, and a message - “Sometimes bad things happen so that good things can happen” - that feels finally less expected than earned.
