Bebe’s Bad Dream

by G. Brian Karas

One Potato Review

It’s good to have interests, even if they tend to sneak up on you in dreams, and cause you to wear armor in bed, and carry a laser and shield, and check under the school bus before getting on. Told with the unforced good humor of someone who always dreaded recess. “Let’s pretend all boys are diseases, and we have to find a cure,” proposes one of Bebe’s friends. “Let’s see who can hold their breath the longest.” “We are all in danger from aliens,” says Bebe. “Let’s go indoors and hide.”
